View Antti's Bio > Antti Sunnari is a visionary who has built the world’s best team of design and manufacturing experts in the field of nanophotonics. Antti has established relationships with leading players in the global XR ecosystem. Under his leadership, Dispelix has raised over USD 50 million in funding and gained recognition as a global technology leader in XR waveguides. Before co-founding Dispelix, Antti worked at VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland where his research focused on the roll-to-roll manufacturing of flexible electronics, diagnostics, and optics. Antti has more than 15 years of experience in diffractive and XR optics and his work has resulted in multiple patents and patent applications. Antti holds an M.Sc. in analytical chemistry from the University of Oulu, Finland.
View Edgar's Bio > Edgar Auslander has over 30 yrs of exp. serving on various Boards, working at startups, a VC firm, and Fortune100s such as Facebook and Qualcomm. As Sr. Director of Strategic Partnerships at Meta, he focuses on XR, AI and Wearables. He initiated and drove the partnership with EssilorLuxottica and originated products like Ray-Ban Meta. He is a Founding Managing Partner at Menlo Business Partners, a consulting firm based in Menlo Park and Paris. Edgar was one of the founders of Texas Instruments’ Wireless BU and a former Faculty Member at Stanford and the EDHEC Business School. He has expertise in product mgmt, engineering & marketing team leadership, venture capital, consulting, business dev., and M&As. Edgar holds an MBA from Columbia and an MEEng. from Cornell.
View Bharath's Bio >Bharath Rajagopalan is Director of Strategic Marketing at STMicroelectronics, responsible for developing the company’s strategy for AR leveraging ST’s broad technology and product portfolio. He is a veteran of the electronics industry, having served in technical, managerial, and executive roles in R&D, manufacturing, product development, and marketing. Bharath is also the inaugural Chair of the AR Alliance for which he was instrumental in conceiving and implementing. Prior to ST, he has held a number of leadership positions including roles at MicroVision, Dolby Laboratories, Texas Instruments and IBM in semiconductor technology development and manufacturing, display technology development and imaging systems. Bharath holds MS, and PhD degrees in electrical engineering and an MBA.

With a wealth of new technology and product innovation and new business development experience and expertise, he serves as Technology Director for augmented reality and emerging displays at Corning Incorporated where he has worked in numerous new technology and new business roles for 28 years. Dr. Krol has a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida, and a Master’s degree and PhD in Optical Sciences from the University of Arizona.

Previously Director of the Display Strategy and General Manager Strategic Sourcing Group at Thomson. With a talented engineering team, he developed MICROOLED to the forefront of the technology in the field of very low-power, high-resolution microdisplays. More recently, he has extended the expertise of the company by creating the most compact integrated solution for augmented reality eyewear, with the ActiveLook® technology.

Fabio is an Executive MBA Graduate from the MIB Trieste School of management, with bachelors degree in mechanical engineering. View Nikolai's Bio > Nikolai has been developing cellular and multimedia standards at Qualcomm since 1996, where he started with the development of the TIA TR45.5 analog fax and data standards, followed by the multi-channel radio link protocol for IS-95B. He then continued to work on voice codecs, TTY, data protocols, and video telephony for cdma2000 as part of the 3GPP2 standards development organization. In 2007, he transitioned to the 3GPP standards body where he led the Qualcomm team in the development of eCall, multimedia telephony, dynamic adaptive HTTP streaming, the Enhanced Voice Services (EVS) codec standards, while serving in various chair and vice-chair positions. Nikolai is currently responsible for leading Qualcomm’s Multimedia Systems Standards & Strategy, including XR, efforts throughout the industry. Beyond his role in standards, he focuses his time on tackling the climate crisis and leads efforts to encourage innovation and leadership across a variety of groups inside and outside of Qualcomm. He has received an IP Excellence Award for his contributions to patents & innovation, and a Global Inclusion Champion Award for his work to increase diversity in innovation and leadership at Qualcomm. Nikolai is named as an inventor on 134 patents granted in the USA, and 1109 granted patents worldwide.

View Bernard's Bio > Bernard has been involved in the field of optics and specifically micro-optics for the past 2 decades, as an associate professor, instructor, author, entrepreneur, engineer, team manager and engineering director. He has been instrumental in developing new optical technologies that have been included in various industrial, defense and consumer products, in fields such as laser materials processing, optical anti-counterfeiting, biotech sensors, optical telecom devices, optical data storage, optical computing, motion sensors, displays, depth map sensors, and more recently head-up and head mounted displays (smart glasses, AR, VR and MR). His is specifically involved in the field of micro-optics, wafer scale optics, holography and nanophotonics. Bernard has published numerous books and book chapters on micro-optics and has more than 50 patents granted worldwide. During the past decade, Bernard has been the principal optical architect on the Google Glass project and the partner optical architect on the Hololens team at Microsoft for the past decade. He is now the Director for XR engineering at Google Labs in Mountain View.

View Michelle's Bio > Michelle is the Executive Director of the AR Alliance. In this capacity, she is responsible for strategic direction, membership growth and relations, infrastructure building, operational effectiveness and efficiency, conference planning, staff management, and organizing and advising the alliance’s technical committees and working groups. She works closely with the AR Alliance Board to carry out the organization’s mission and objectives. Prior to joining the AR Alliance, Michelle founded two startups in the AR/VR industry. She has 20 years of experience as a lawyer and entrepreneur, and has also served as a business operations and legal advisor to numerous emerging and global tech companies.
