A roadmap for the next generation of LCOS in AR

Members of the AR Alliance have developed an industry-wide roadmap for the next generation of LCOS, defining the technologies needed to deliver smaller, more efficient and more integrated AR display systems.

How will LCOS evolve as AR moves toward smaller projectors and lower power consumption? How far can laser illumination and integrated optics take it? And how will LCOS compare with uLED as both technologies move toward consumer AR?

We’ve published a short overview of the roadmap in Photonics Spectra.
